Viasys is seeking a Software Helpdesk Analyst to provide first/second line support to business users within the Oil & Gas industry via phone, email and internet for the market leading Material Advantage project procurement software system. The successful candidate will take full ownership of client problems, working within a Service Level Agreement and will maintain high rates of first line fixes, contributing to continual product improvement.

Each support request will be analysed with the client being informed of the resolution path. This will include close working with other areas of the business, including development, sales & business services.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous IT Support Experience within a customer helpdesk environment


• Excellent customer service skills


• Good knowledge of MS-Windows, MS-Office
• Good understanding of MS-Access
• Exposure to Visual Basic/VBA and SQL Server
• Excellent Communication skills
• Ability to record and manage client requests within a web based call logging environment to ensure that Service Level targets are achieved
• Calm under pressure
• Ability to take ownership of client issues and work with the current team to provide resolution
• Experience of Procurement and Materials Management within the Oil & Gas industry would be advantageous
